Tommy Giamichael

Senior Project Manager

B.S. Geology, SUNY College at Potsdam 2004. Tommy has six years of experience as a geologist, balancing his time between the field and office.  During the course of his career he has spent two years in the geotechnical field, working on projects ranging from soil bearing inspection and caisson coring at Cornell University to geotechnical drilling for wind farm development.  He has a broad knowledge base with regional, state and federal regulations, site characterization, remediation and mitigation.  Tommy has a wealth of experience in Phase II site investigations and spill closures.  He has managed and conducted oversight and reporting for the ongoing investigation, remediation and closure of spill sites regarding petroleum and hazardous waste spills, underground storage tank removals as well as impacted drinking water wells.   Currently he manages several projects under the NYSDEC contract.  Tommy came from the stringent safety based Exxon Mobil program where he developed solid foundation in health and safety policies and procedures.  He currently sits on the Aztech health and safety board and contributes to the implementation and performance of our safety program.
 
During his free time, Tommy is usually playing his guitar or banjo and can be found down in the local Lark Street scene.  His is currently enrolled in flight school and is working hard on the weekends to obtain his private pilots license.
